Please don't take this the wrong way...

WHat! No *AIEEEEEE!* or *EEEEEEEEEEEK!* not even and *Eep!*

Good lord, the sound design in this page sucks. I would at least expect a rumbling or a crack.

Let's be honest your work is stellar as always, but even though silence is golden and duct tape is silver, I believe in this instance pantomime isn't enough to express the level of danger there.

On the previous page it was easy to imagine the *tika ticka tika* sounds, on this page not so much.

Even if you have find a way to express sounds visually, without words, I recommend it as a must. For future consideration think of the readers as being separated from your work by a glass wall.

Perhaps a higher contrast "hot" color would make the effect of the wood breaking more noticeable. I don't know.

Keep in mind this is typically an animated flash comic, that- in order to post on smackjeeves without having to pay money- I have translated into still pages.

For this part of the story in particular- part 16- was an animated montage. So right now you are basically just looking at stills from an animated short.

I know it doesn't translate as well to still form, but ideally its meant to be viewed in its animated flash form.

You can watch it here: http://fav.me/d5b4edu

Watches video...

My complaint still stands. If you can *poof* you can *Squee!* The special effects are important. Even if they aren't as spectacular as Michael Bay would lead you to believe necessary.

I realize you are doing this on your own time and dime. However, in my not so humble opinion, I think the sound effects would make it more thrilling.

EDIT:
Also, you can supposedly upload flash comics to Comic fury. My plan is to eventually...ultimately release machinama and flash versions of my comic. So I was looking for a place that could do that free of charge.

Deviant art facebook and youtube have file size, type, quality, and time constraints that I cannot adhere too so I wasted an inordinate amount of time looking for things like "newgrounds."

Well, I think the reason for not having sound effects is because this sequence is more of a montage (not that I know what the author was thinking, so I can't speak for her). When you look at it that way it makes a lot more sense. Personally, I love the effect it creates.

aha!

I can't believe I just clicked through 225 installments of this without knowing / realising it was a flash comic.

The art style kinda makes sense now I know that... the slightly scratchy, lower-colour characters on top of a smoother, more detailed background.

Still, I think I'ma read through and get up to date using the stills all the same. I'm used to it now :)

(And that's not a criticism of the style, btw... it seemed idiosyncratic, and very cartoony, but not "bad")
